Throwback Daddy Daughter

Happy Birthday Dad. You are now 70 and old.  Why I think you are automatically old at 70? Meh, it was always how I thought of your father until he was 90.

Throwback Good Times

A perfect picture to show that I truly get along with strangers. This was my Irish tour guide who was crazy in a very enjoyable way.

Throwback College addition

Oh geez "The Sisterhood!" This was my sorority which was so not me, but worth it because of the redhead, Melissa (next to me). I was able to meet my first boyfriend through her and then introduce her to her husband. So one good thing from "the Sisterhood" (snicker which she and I did after anyone would say this).

Throwback Age

This little nephew, Matthew, will graduate from high school this year.  Feeling old, only thing is worse is his brother will have a kid before I do.

Oh my gosh I found someone!

I'm so stoked, but at the same time totally busy.  I love Ancestry even though I haven't bought anything from them.  I have been watching their videos and finding funny things such as what my last name means in German. They think it has been derived two ways 1. we had an occupation of being a bush harvester (bushel comes from this word) 2. it has a root of St. Peter.  I tend to think that it is the bush people since all of the people I have looked at have a very strong "middle class/citizen" work ethic. Possibly I can find my ancestor's will. Cool trivia like that!

Selina Marie and William Stead

Anyway they suggested I type in my ancestor's name into the Internet and see if there were any hits or books on them. First I put wildly successful Sampson's father, William Lee, in and I got a hit for his daughter, Selina. I have to say that I really like Selina because she loves to leave a mark in the world and lets me know I'm on the right track. I was able to find out that she married William Stead who was part of an important family. He built her a manor house. Her mom lived with her too, so I could use that to find where her mom is buried.

Next I decided to put in Grandpa Max's name because he was suppose to be important and famous. I couldn't believe it! His name was there. Some lady in Germany had asked if anyone had any information on Max Alfred Puschel and his wife Bertha Elizabeth Lee. I was so excited I had my sister in law translate a reply(because it was written in German and Google translated for me).A day later the lady wrote me back in English and gave me some seriously good stuff. Scandalous scandal my favorite. She had occupations for a ton of people. It looked like the Puschel's and Bossig's were trying to make a drape or fabric empire by marrying each other. I found out they were citizens, which should make my life a little bit easier, and some died of crazy things.  I don't know how she had so many causes of death, but there was old age, apoplexy or stroke, hepatitis. Some had weird translations, but I think beaten to death, sunburned or burned?, and a baby that died of intestinal fever. Wicked cool and sad huh. She didn't have any pictures, but I was super happy for all the sibling and spouses she gave me.  I had to in turn give her what I had, so that has been a three week process realizing I don't even have any of the recent people in my documents. Talk about exploding exponentially it makes me want to give up and this was my first big find by just dinking around on theIinternets!

Throwback Dance

Thought I would show my first date... blind date at that.  Yep high school dances are stressful and uncomfortable.

Throwback Junior High

Since school will be ending soon I should show a picture of my Junior High friends at my birthday party. I have no idea what happened to Andrea, Callie, Sara, or Liz, but Meh that's what high school reunions are for.
