The most interesting part was watching every worker come out of the airport to watch it land. The usual comments were made that they didn't like Bush and this was a waste of taxpayer money, blah blah. I couldn't help but notice that even though everyone felt that way they were still lined up to see him come in. It surprised me because the press gives him such a bad wrap and we as Americans don't really give him the respect that his office deserves (aka all the bad jokes comments and down right crazy talk that he has generated). Yet, the everyday American lined up with excitement to see the President of the United States plane. I felt like I was in a parade, and we didn't even get to see him! When Air Force One landed, we all stood quiet and one of my pilots whistled at the nice landing. I didn't think with all the talk, that Americans respected the office of the President, but all those employees showed a huge amount of respect even though they didn't like him. I am glad that some patriotism of how this country was set up is left.

How cool is that! It is pretty amazing to have everyone so patriotic to see Air Force One. He came to SLC last spring/summer, and it was fun to see how the whole city got into it. I kept hoping The Pres would get sick, so I could take care of him at work ;) Is that horrible, or what?? Love the post!
