Spring Time

Lately life has continued in a rather predictable slow pace. I kept trying to think of what we have done lately and I couldn't come up with anything. Then I realized that I was just like my parents; sitting home on a Friday or Saturday watching the latest Sci-fi show. I soon realized that our Saturdays are more like I was growing up than I thought. I remember waking up at 8 am to the lawn mowing sound. I can remember helping my mom plant fruit trees, squash, zucchini, cucumber, strawberries, and pumpkins. What amazes Daniel is that I know the difference between each vegetable and know how to cook it. I did love those Saturdays because of the dew and the sun even though I always complained. Daniel and I have started a garden. I am excited except that I am sure to kill all of the plants. Of course we planted on Saturday, and it was a lot of fun. We planted basil, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, cilantro and onions. I hope to have these plants survive since we have expert advice from Daniel's dad. I pretty sure the water ban is still in effect, so we are using lots of shower water to keep these plants alive. I can't wait to have fresh vegetables!

Annie! I like your blog. I forgot I knew you had a blog -- I was cleaning up my bookmarks, and low and behold... there it was!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your peaceful Friday and Saturday nights. And your veggies.

Will we see you in June? I sure hope so!

I am in agreement with you and Jacki. I just sit home and wait for something to come up. Try baking I really enjoy it and it passes the time by!

Well you always know that you can come over and watch ANTM at our house, as you've been doing anyway. And good luck with the plants - I just scattered some flower seeds on the side of the house next to the driveway to see what happens. I tend to kill everything green except for the weeds!
