I have to back up and tell what we did in September. I haven't had time and I knew there would be a slow moment coming up in our lives.
We went up to Ellijay, Ga to the Applefest mostly because we heard that the apple pies were fabulous and we were having an intense month of touring North Georgia for its mountains. It was a neat little town that focuse is the Applefest in September. We walked around the town square then went to the fair grounds. We bought a peck of Georgia apples, shared an apple pie, and found a wagon full of different sodas. The best part was settling down with our mugs of soda and watching the dance troupe that had come up from the city. It reminded me of how much I loved going to festivals and dancing when I was younger. Daniel was kind of shocked because I was doing my loud "yah" and "whoops" and clapping and criticizing the dancers and telling him who was good and which dancer was actually a teacher. It made me a little excited and the sugar from our mugs of soda wasn't helping any.

The Object is Near
Yesterday I was heading into Greensboro North Carolina, and everyone got off the plane when the rampers started going all crazy. Our crew found out the president was coming. I've seen Air Force two other times and it is still exciting. We got out of the aircraft (since the airport was closed and we weren't going to go anywhere) we saw the helicopters hovering at the runway, and secret service driving around in there big scary SUVs. One of the ramper was joking that another ramper should walk out with a bag scanner and point it at the plane so we could see where the snipers were. The pilots always laugh when Air Force One is flying because Air Traffic Control won't tell them what it is. Greensboro was calling it the object.
The most interesting part was watching every worker come out of the airport to watch it land. The usual comments were made that they didn't like Bush and this was a waste of taxpayer money, blah blah. I couldn't help but notice that even though everyone felt that way they were still lined up to see him come in. It surprised me because the press gives him such a bad wrap and we as Americans don't really give him the respect that his office deserves (aka all the bad jokes comments and down right crazy talk that he has generated). Yet, the everyday American lined up with excitement to see the President of the United States plane. I felt like I was in a parade, and we didn't even get to see him! When Air Force One landed, we all stood quiet and one of my pilots whistled at the nice landing. I didn't think with all the talk, that Americans respected the office of the President, but all those employees showed a huge amount of respect even though they didn't like him. I am glad that some patriotism of how this country was set up is left.

Goble! Goble!
Time Goes By
Well not much has happened lately. I have been off to Montreal, Canada practicing some French as well as wishing for some snow. They don't have any snow yet, but New York State has a ton--go figure. The best part of Montreal is that is has a dry cold like Salt Lake so you can actually go out and explore the town unlike Albany New York where you step out of the hotel and you can wait to step right back in! Daniel has been workin' hard to finish up school for the semester and not be irritated with the classes he wished he could have learned more in.
We spent our Thanksgiving hanging out since I got in from a trip in the afternoon, and Daniel was asked to a work friend's house for dinner. We are going to make our dinner a little belated on Saturday, but I have already broken out the Christmas music.
We should have a great Christmas this year in electronics because we will be about to get an xbox and a new camera. We were able to totally work the system and get them for free because we used some points from our credit card and them we got $400 from our apartment for staying there for another year. All in all our electronics cost us $26. Now we have to work on games and printing pictures.

Snap Crakle and Pop
So this last weekend, I had to work. I hate to work the full weekend, it ruins my week. I got up very early Friday morning to go to work and it was raining pretty bad, so I knew there was going to be traffic. I left the house early and got stuck in traffic about 15 minutes away from work. Now, when I first started this job, the company scared you to death about being late, even if it was only a minute. You could lose your job and they didn't care about the reason blah blah blah. This has stuck with me for a long time, even though policy has changed a little bit. Anyway, I got stuck, but still had an hour to get there (there are some really slow buses I have to take from the employee parking lot to the airport terminal, so I always give myself plenty of time--because of the whole 'you're late for a second and you're fired thing'). So anyway, there I am, gridlocked on the freeway. I have never been gridlocked before and it's really nerve racking and boring; especially when it isn't even 6 AM yet and there is no one to call and talk to. So after an hour of multiple conversations with scheduling, the gridlock clears up and I start driving through the rain like a bat out of hell to try to get to work so I can get my plane off on time (ten minutes late, but my first officer was stuck in it too!); however, the whole entire day ran late due to legal working requirements, so we ended up in Harrisburg, PA for the night.
We needed to get up early and fly to Cincinnati. Well, we got up again at a extremely early hour (less than six hours of sleep)and headed off to Cincinnati. Well, the flight started and I was doin' my thing when I noticed it was really loud, but nothing really unusual, so I start tellin' the folks that I would start to serve them soon when the captain calls. When he does call me, he tell me he can't get the nose gear up and that we may have to go back to Harrisburg. So I decided to sit down and see the outcome of this little adventure. So about 20 minutes later, I get a call and... well, we have to go back to Harrisburg. I asked the captain if he wanted to make an announcement or if I should. He said he had too many checklists to do so I did it...Okay. So I make some nerdy announcement that is trying to be non-alarming, but it makes no sense. We sit for another 10 minutes and then it sounded like I was listening to a bowl of Rice Krispies, and the whole entire cabin started misting and my brain went into over-load. I was thinking "Holy Crap we are decompressing. Where is my oxygen mask? Why isn't my oxygen mask coming out! Maybe if I put my hand to catch it! And the big scary noise won't scare me if I'm ready. What were those pops, are soda can busting open?" Then the cabin cleared up and I still had my hand in the air waiting for my mask, looking like a goof. So I got on the PA and said we had decompression (trying to calm people down; most of them actually were calm) but we were still safe to breathe.
Twenty minutes later we landed on all wheels and were back in Harrisburg. As one of the passengers gets off the plane he said he knew we were in trouble when his bags of chips busted open. I went into the cockpit after and it was trashed. I didn't know such a tiny spot could be so trashed. Big buttons were pulled that I had never seen pulled before. Manuals were thrown everywhere, and the captain was on the phone saying he didn't push that button because he didn't get to read that far in the checklist. I totally have an new appreciation for all the training pilots do. We had a few things go wrong besides the landing gear, and it turns out the decompression was all part of the master plan of saving our hides. I really couldn't tell you what went wrong, because it's mostly jargon. I did think that it was funny that two women slept through the whole thing and were very confused to end up in Harrisburg again instead of Cincinnati.

Long time; No see
So I haven't posted in a while partly because I haven't really felt like it, there was nothing to talk about, and Daniel has been playing Diablo with his brothers. It kind of cramps the time I get on the computer. I am all for hacking and slashing monsters since I think it is cool he get to do it with his brothers in other states. Anyways I finally have something to say. I found a praymantis in our "garden" I haven't seen one in ages and it took me a moment to even see him since I was looking around at the green basil leaves. It was pretty cool, so I took a picture of it.

2 Years and goin' strong!
Daniel and I had our second year anniversary and I surprised him by taking him to Toccoa Ga, to a bed and breakfast. This was difficult since I can never surprise him. He always guesses my surprises; this makes Christmas not very fun. I had to some way get Daniel into the North Georgian mountains without him knowing it! I made him think it was his responsibility to plan our anniversary. So I suggested we get pedicures, which Daniel really liked since he has the worse toenails they are like knifes and I have to tell him to keep cutting them. Then Daniel suggested we go up to Dahlonega. It was a cute little town and we walked in all of the shops and town squares.
We started to drive "home" when I went the "wrong" way. Toccoa is about 2 hours from Dahlonega. Daniel accepted that I wanted to take the scenic route home until about an hour and half into the drive he decided that he was being kidnapped. Daniel thought I was taking him to Asheville, NC. I finally pulled up to the Bed and Breakfast and told him surprise. He was a little mad because I was making him read our primary lesson for church the next day. He guess that we wouldn't be making it to church. We explore the sleepy town of Toccoa. It was deserted and it reminded us of the movies where the serial killer lives and the dumb unsuspecting teenagers come to live. We asked an old man at the deserted Amtrak station where to eat. He said he didn't think that there were any restaurant open this late on Saturday (6:00pm), but the main st might have something open past the hot dog stand. We thought great now we have met the old man that warns the teenagers out of town because something isn't right in town ie: restaurants aren't open. Anyways we found this great little family run restaurant and enjoyed some of the best steak since moving to the south.
Our Bed and Breakfest was the cutest place it was an old Queen Anne style home and was made of a lot of wood which we rather liked. Daniel kept touching all the antiques in the room saying things like, "Look Annie take these gloves with you they're complimentary." I kept telling him to stop touching things he was going to break it(like the porcelain pitcher), and I would feel bad because the owner lived in the bed and breakfest so she paid for all of the antiques. I will admit sleeping on an antique bed is like sleeping on a couch bed, your back kills afterwords. Thank goodness for boxsprings!
The next morning befor we left we went to Toccoa Falls which is higher than Niagra, but a little puny because of the drought.

The End of The Summer
Well it is now the end of the summer and I am now back to the 50 seater airplane. This means that I will have to work all by myself. I will admit that I am dreading this especially after my last crew this month. Awesome people, one pilot is a southern farmer with a mustache who is very quiet, but you don't want to mess with him. The other pilot is from upstate New York and has all of the attitudes of a New Yorker, and yet he was awesome. The other flight attendant was an Irish Catholic New Yorker who transplanted to Cincinnati. Let me tell you I could not stop laughing because of all our dynamics.
This last trip involved me breaking out into hives because we weren't sure if I got bed bugs or had too many Sour Patch kids (that my captain furnished for me), my first officer slammed my finger in the door, and the seal on one of the exit door broke mid flight right as I was standing there. Now this may sound scary and I did scare an employee who was flying for fun because I ran down the aisle trying to call the captain making sure we weren't going to decompress, but in my defense we were still climbing altitude and a quick walk turned into a run. Anyways it turned out okay because other than the pop and rushing sound noise the pressurization was still intact.
My favorite part of the trip was going to Panama City and we decided to go to the barbecue place--Smitty's. I asked my farmer pilot if it was any good because I was picky because I was use to the best barbecue. He said it was okay, but not like Texas barbecue. I new I was in trouble because my first job was for a family owned catering company that specialized in barbecue chicken and ribs. I KNOW how to make awesome barbecue chicken and ribs. We use to call the sauce charbecue because the chicken and ribs would be covered the stuff, you would smell like it after work forever unless you took a shower. I can remember my sister-in-law showing up to work and spraying herself with some bath and body works stuff and then just smell like charbecue the rest of the day. I work there for seven years and the only place that has better chicken and ribs in Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que in Llano Texas. President Bush has even been there. It is family owned as well, and the meat there is amazing. It is in a podunk town between Austin and San Antoino, but it is so worth the drive. These places are what I would call barbecue, but in Panama City and the "deep" south their barbecue is not real barbecue. Its like sliced beef with no sauce. So it just tastes like a beef (pork, chicken) sandwich. Now my pilot from New York did get chicken and ribs. They seemed okay, but lacked sauce. He would sauce it up and then took his fork and knife and then tried to cut the beef rib. Finally I couldn't stand it and I said "What are you doing? You don't eat it like that! Use your hands." He said back, "Well geez, Analisa, I'm not sure I can eat now if you are going to stare and critique! I'm from the North we don't eat stuff like this." I busted up laughing because I had never seen barbecue like this and I couldn't believe that Texas and Utah could have the same taste in Barbecue.

Hilton Head Baby!
So, I got to stay at Hilton Head this week on my trip and it will be the last time that ASA stays overnight there for the rest of the year. I had to take photos of the room that I stayed in especially after the Red Neck Rivera. This was done in much better taste that was relaxing, which is the whole theme of the resort, clean white sheets. The minute I see that the sheets and bed spread are not white I think that they are trying to hide dirt.
Notice my view is of the trees. The last time I stayed there they had just opened up Hilton Head service and I had the room with a view of the beach it was awesome. This hotel is actually a resort and a nice one at that. I can't believe that they have a Wii for exercising, a yoga instructor, I'm sure a personal trainer, water aerobics, and I don't know what else, but if I was on vacation I would not be doing water aerobics. I spent the morning looking at all of the locals any tourist that had babies on the beach. It was awesome to see everyone doing all sorts of things like fishing, boating, some were already in the water, and not much sun bathing since it was overcast. I soon went on into the resort to show you how many pools they had. I couldn't believe how many pools this place had considering that the beach was four feet away. This is one of my favorite over nights.

Like a Sister
So this weekend I got to have the best experience ever. I got to escort my best friend through the St. George temple. I was so excited for her. She looked beautiful and had such a great "Family" support for her. She is a convert and the only member in her family. It was fun because I have been to her baptism, endowment, and probably her marriage. We were neighbors in college, and have never lost touch with each other. We talk near everyday and we still haven't run out of things to say. We look at most things the same way, and are really there for each other. I must say that I miss her a ton, yet it is like were are sisters because we keep so close!

Its over for like two years
My life has become boring again, or maybe just my Friday nights have gotten a little more freer. Doctor Who is over until 2010. Of course it will have a few specials here and there. I know that all of you who don't care if I talk about Doctor Who can have a party. I must say I really liked the direction this series took. Possibly because it was based on being a nobody who really is a somebody and doesn't know it. The best part is that the companion doesn't have the most perfect, glam body in the universe (ie Donna). The best part is a that the "nobody" saves the day, and then has to forget that she ever did it. Even though she saves the day, she is still afraid to do what is necessary. One of the characters in Doctor Who has the glam body and the "perfect" and yet when it all hits the fan she goes home to her mother. I feel like the latest companion because I feel like she does sometimes. Going along with life not sure if I am doing anything right or worth anything, and yet when I look back I have done some incredible things.

Share the Memories
Memory Lane.... the tag that gets everyone involved
Got this from a friend and I thought I would play the game.
Here's how you play
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and i had together. it doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory of you. it's actually pretty funny to the responses. if you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Flying around the world
So, I had an experience that I thought the world should know about...PANAMA CITY FLORIDA. Now this is suppose to be some well known beach town, but as my sister-in-law said, "Is that like some town in Arkansas?" I will agree with her on this based on the hotel alone. I just giggled because honestly who makes a bathroom with a red shower? It was fabulous because when you turned on the light, the shower light would light up before the rest of the bathroom, so you would get this red glow; it would make you think of things like the red light districts and $100 an hour for a room. I don't if you can see in the picture, but there is even a mirror in the shower. One of the other luxuries of this bathroom was a TV. Now the TV was made in about 1975 which is fine, but let's say that I wanted to take a bath in my bordello bathtub and watch TV. This could be a problem since the TV is so old it doesn't have a remote. No problem I'll get out and change the channel, but then I get electrocuted by the TV. Once again "No problem." I've got my matching bordello phone to call the front desk and tell them I need an ambulance. The kicker in this whole thing is that the bathroom is trimmed in teal and is basically covered in mirrors. I have got to get me this designer's number! This could possibly be the most tackiest room I have ever stayed in.
Well for the past two months I have been on the winner of a plane. I am on the ATR-72 that's right its a propeller plane. It does have some great advantages, such as you get to go to the beach most of your overnights, it is really loud, but the humming can put almost anyone to sleep(except for the people who know they are going to die because they are on a propeller plane), it loads from the back, and you can feel like you are helping the World War II war effort just by working the plane. Actually I am rather glad to be on this plane since they are getting rid of it soon and it really is the party plane. I like to work with other flight attendants and seeing the beach in the summer is fun. The only real draw back is how hot it gets. This summer isn't too bad, but I already had a run in with a passenger and I think he lost it because he was so hot and tired.

A special visitor
On Tuesday morning, Daniel left for work and heard some whining noises, but didn't think much of it because it was three am and he was half asleep anyways. He came home and heard the same whining with a few barks. A little puppy rounded the corner and ran up to him, ready to come into the house. Daniel let him in to have a drink of water. He was so small that he was still trying to figure out how to drink from the bowl. Dos didn't like this new intruder especially because he took all the attention. We decided to call the puppy Tolstoy since we had a writer theme going on for pet names. That puppy was so cuddly and cute that we were sad to see him go because we would have to go back to the anti-cuddle cat. We gave Tolstoy to the office because I am sure that if I lost my puppy I would want someone to give him back.

Lazy Days
So Dos came back from our friends house after the vacation. He loved it there because the house was big and plenty of excitement because of their kid and dog. He picked up some bad habits there like laying on his back so that his belly could be scratched. He must have pick this one up from their dog, Bridget. He has also picked up how to get attention when your little. Today, I was scrapbooking and made the mistake of letting Dos sit on my desk while I was working. He was fine until I needed more pictures. I tried to get them, but he was on top and was mad that I was messing around underneath him. He then decided to get up and move to a better position. This was great for me because I finally got my pictures, but he took the rest of the room on the desk. He refused to move, so finally I just gave up.
Vacation until you drop!
So, in the beginning of June, Daniel and I went to Utah for a wedding. We took two weeks off and went to all our old haunts in Salt Lake. We left our cat and plants in good hands while we partied.
We went to spend the night in Downtown and go to Ginza for sushi. We went there for our first date. It was a lot of fun, but after all of the sushi places we have been to, Ginza wasn't that great anymore.
We went to St. George on the weekend to visit my grandmother and I got to show Daniel Dixie, where I went to junior college.
In order to be a true Dixie Rebel you have to kiss, at night, at the fountain on the main square. All of the cops parade around the night that the whole school comes to become a true rebel and try and stop all of the kids from playing and making out in the water. Well, we didn't get spotted and it wasn't night, but that was the closest we could get to make Daniel a "true rebel." We spent a day with one of my college mates, she was dating a guy from LaVerkin. She said she saw this sign that LaVerkin had voted itself out of the UN and the US. I love Southern Utah because it is full of crazies, and Daniel just couldn't understand how a city could do that when States don't even have the power to leave the union. Well, we asked the kid who lived there and his response was that he was still in high school and didn't care. Daniel didn't really appreciate this attitude because he really wanted to know. I guess it is a touchy subject for those people in LaVerkin who are normal and have nothing to do with voting themselves out of their own country. We then went to Zions National park and drove around. Daniel thought it was cool except that he had to spend most of the day in Springdale which he was thoroughly sick of because it seemed like he could never get out of it. We did have an interesting drive through Colorado City which seemed to please Daniel because he couldn't fathom how the polygamist could live and was glad to see their unfinished, half boarded up, city. I thought it was a little spooky since half of the town is laying low or off to other enclaves.
And finally the reason we went to Utah was for our friends' wedding. We met through these friends, Billy and Melissa, and they met through us. Through a very long story, I knew Billy from high school and Daniel knew him from his mission. During college, I met Melissa at a church sorority and she was the only girl there who would laugh with me every time they said "the sisterhood." It got to the point where we would go to the sorority hook up, ditch it, and do what ever we wanted after. We fell out of contact for different reasons (mostly boys). It seemed very strange that we should happen to go to the same singles ward in Salt Lake. I went there and found Billy, Daniel went there because of Billy, and Melissa went there because it was her new ward and I found her too. I started the "family" pew and insisted that Billy, Daniel, and eventually Melissa should all sit together every Sunday. I hate to sit by myself in church; I'm so use to sitting with my family that I found that one of the hardest things for me in the singles ward. Anyway they came to our wedding, so we went to their wedding.
I have to brag for a minute because we got to see our nephew and I am a proud aunt because he is so cute that he makes me look cute. He is the only Gedge to have brown eyes and I'm glad because I know, with my luck, my kid is going to have brown eyes and now I know how cute it is going to be! He and his sister are so cute together that I get excited to visit and play with them.
This was the best vacation because we got to spend time with our friends and family and it wasn't a quick "how do you do" and then have to leave.

The Garden of Eden
So here is the update on the garden. I haven't KILLED it yet. I thought that was a bonus. I have become rather obsessed since Daniel forgets to water when I'm on a trip. A few of my tomatoes have wilted for it, so I probably over water on a regular basis. I saw that my sister in law started some plants on her balcony and I started to over water her plants. She thought I was a little weird for asking where her pitcher was and insisting that I water her plants.
I had to take a picture of my first tomato. I am so stoked that I can't see straight. Bree and tomato sandwiches will be on their way soon!
These pictures are from three weeks ago. I don't even know how big they will be when I get back from Utah. I do like to watch plants grow when I leave for days at a time and come back and they have made progress. It makes me feel successful. I know that sounds weird, but I don't have any children who will do that for me.

The Weekend of the Great Plains
Last weekend Daniel and I were fortunate enough to make it up to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to see Daniel's parents. We went to our favorite restaurant, Spezias, a must if you are in Sioux Falls. We went to a few places that Trudy's family lived and settled in South Dakota. In Canton, her grandfather help to build this Lutheran Church. We didn't get to go in because the church was closed, but he was said to be a great carpenter.
We got to see Indiana Jones too. Daniel and I thought it was great because we were expecting the worst. I thought it was a great "escapist" film. I didn't feel like I had to think that much. The best part of the weekend was Daniel's parents got to watch Dr. Who. They actually wanted to watch it. They even liked it. Daniel and I were so pumped about it. I watched Grey's Anatomy from the beginning. I thought I should see what everyone was talking about. Daniel only watched the first episode and then he was out of there while Trudy and I watched the rest.
Most of the weekend, it was cool and windy, but it was beautiful because spring had arrived. This was exciting since this was the first time I got to see South Dakota green.
I snapped a picture of Dave working in his garden because it was great to see him working even though the wind was blowing so hard.

Excitement Has Arrived
My best friend Jody and her husband, Logan, showed up in Atlanta last week. The best way to describe Jody is a ball of energy, giggles, and adventure all roll up into one. If there is a crazy idea out there she will think of it, tell me, and then I will make it happen. The two of us are a deadly force of adventure against the world at large.
Fortunately for us, our husbands deal with this and can talk to each other while we go on our adventures. They talk about sci-fi, computers, video games, and general nerdy paraphernalia. Our cat didn't do so well, though. We got Dos through Jody and Logan. He ended up hissing at them the whole weekend because he thought for sure they were going to take him back. Not until the last day did he figure out that they were okay and he could go outside our bedroom and the bathroom.
Over the weekend, Daniel and I were able to force them to watch Doctor Who (see, I knew I could get someone to see it). We all went to the aquarium, where we met more Atlantians (Logan's friends) and said a lot of horrible jokes about whale sharks dying. It was decided that the next reality TV show should be "Punch the Large Grouper" (which I keep saying wrong... instead, groper--which is also worth punching). Afterwards, much eating, drinking, laughing, and driving ensued.
Early Sunday morning the Tornado warning sounded off. Well, this is excitement indeed, since Jody had never been "in" a tornado before--unless you count the two of us creating one in Ann Taylor Loft. Of course she slept through the first warning sound until she woke up to me staring her down in the face trying to see if she was awake. On the weather channel it only said it was a "Thunderstorm Warning" so we all went back to bed. Little did we know that parts of Douglas county was wiped out in one area or another. Jody always brings excitement with her, whether she wants a tornado or not. Most of the weekend ended up relaxed and fun, but we giggled until our bellies ached.
Man's Best Friend--Even for a Cat Lover
So, I finally pestered the ever busy Mary to send me this photo. I totally love it because it was late one night at Juston and Mary's and Bridget couldn't help herself, but fall asleep on top of Daniel. Now, the best part is that Daniel actually let Bridget stay there for a good hour, since he gesticulates when he talks I am surprise that Bridget didn't get turned over in one of his exciting rants about life. I think that this is the only time that Daniel enjoyed having a Dog on him since he only likes cats. But as Mary says, "It's Bridget. Isn't she the cutest pug on the planet!" Maybe it wasn't a "Dog" on him, but Bridget, a member of the Rindlesbach family.

It has started again
So I finally realized what I have been waiting for with baited breath....DOCTOR WHO season 4 will start on Friday. I am stoked because I don't have to wait until fall to see the new series because Sci-fi is showing it two weeks after the BBC. This is awesome because our favorite character is coming back (Daniel is a little wary of it). This is the most exciting news until my best friend Jody shows up to take Atlanta by storm. I know in a week or two I should have some seriously funny stories to tell, until then I guess everyone will have to try to understand the obsession of Doctor Who that I have.

Quiet as a Mouse
So, the Gedge household has been very quite lately. It has consisted up Daniel running around trying to get all of his work done on top of his school work, and feels as if he is coming short. However he seems to make the deadlines, and crashes every Sunday. I on the other had have been flying around trying to keep my house clean, and work on my scrapbook. I am so excited that I'm only a year and half behind! I know that sounds pretty sad to be excited about, but I am working on my wedding album. I am rather impressed with my work. It makes for fond and sappy memories. My newest scheme for it is to have a voice recording of what each one of us thought that day. Sounds ambitious, and I have no idea who would want to listen to it because we don't have any kids who would care, but I love to pass down my mistakes to my invisible posterity. I find it so interesting about other people's life that I think other people would love to hear about my goofy life, oh wait isn't that what blogging is??? Anyways in a few weeks life will start to pick up and the blog will be much more interesting.
PS My raspberry "stick" has leaves on it. I will totally have a picture of it soon once it really has gone insane with leaves.

Spring Time
Lately life has continued in a rather predictable slow pace. I kept trying to think of what we have done lately and I couldn't come up with anything. Then I realized that I was just like my parents; sitting home on a Friday or Saturday watching the latest Sci-fi show. I soon realized that our Saturdays are more like I was growing up than I thought. I remember waking up at 8 am to the lawn mowing sound. I can remember helping my mom plant fruit trees, squash, zucchini, cucumber, strawberries, and pumpkins. What amazes Daniel is that I know the difference between each vegetable and know how to cook it. I did love those Saturdays because of the dew and the sun even though I always complained. Daniel and I have started a garden. I am excited except that I am sure to kill all of the plants. Of course we planted on Saturday, and it was a lot of fun. We planted basil, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, cilantro and onions. I hope to have these plants survive since we have expert advice from Daniel's dad. I pretty sure the water ban is still in effect, so we are using lots of shower water to keep these plants alive. I can't wait to have fresh vegetables!

Tags
Well, It seems there has been a slam of tagging lately and I am slow to catch up, so here some of the first of the tags. This one comes from Mary. These questions are all about my 'significant other' and our relationship.
What is his full name? Daniel Caleb Gedge (I must say his mother did a great job naming him; it just flows even if he hates the Caleb)
-How long have you been married? 1 1/2 years
-How long did you date? My standard response is not long enough. I think four full months if we are lucky, but two before we knew we were going to get hitched.
-Who eats more sweets? Oh man, I at least eat more chocolate, but since I got two bags of candy and went away on a trip for two days and came back and they were all gone, I think Daniel wins this one.
-Who said I love you first? Daniel and I just kind of stared at him and blinked then got out of the car.
-How old is he? 26
-Who is taller? Daniel
-Who is smarter? Depends on what area--nerd stuff, ghetto talk (I swear he understands and speaks back), and writing Daniel for sure, but I feel really smart in books, history, finances any area I can fake my way through.
-Who can sing better? I do, but he is catching up quick--thanks Alisha
-Who does the laundry? Usually me, but I ask Daniel to help out, we usually always fold together.
-Who pays the bills? I do--love the internet. I guess I am the Nazi of finance. Daniel can never get me a gift without me knowing it.
-Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Daniel
-Who mows the lawn? I imagine Daniel will when we get a yard, but I should like to do it occasionally
-Who cooks dinner? I cook. It tastes better that way.
-Who drives? We both have licenses and cars, but I like to make him drive
-Who is more stubborn? Me, but at that point I probably haven't really slept in three days.
-Who kissed who first? Daniel, but he will always say that I wanted it.
-Who asked who out? Daniel did twice. I shot him down the first time because I thought he was asking me out on a pity date.
-Who proposed? I don't know. I know for sure that I made Daniel do it proper, but before that I knew I was coming to Atlanta, so it was like "you want to break up or come there with me as my husband?"
-Who has more siblings? Daniel
-Who wears the pants? I think I wear them on daily basis, but the minute a crisis happens those pants are off so quickly and thrown onto Daniel, that it seems to balance out.

Six word Challenge
So, a friend of mine got a challenge of a memoir in six words. I had to take this challenge up because I love to play with words. My first one I thought of was "I'm in the pits of Despair" which of course was followed up with "Don't even think trying to escape." which I suppose even though that is how I felt that day; it is more of a movie quote than a memoir.
So I decided on "Flight Attendant ready to kill passengers." Or "Strange encounters of a Flight Attendant." Makes you want to be on one of my flights huh. Please anyone try it; it's fun and kinda funny.

Good Time Southern Fun
In February, my best friend, Jenn made the bold move to come out to Georgia to see why I moved out here. She came all the way from St. George, Utah. After making her flights to Atlanta, she was in the Atlanta Airport. Daniel told her to jump on the train, go up the escalator, and make a left. He forgot to tell her which stop to get off of, let alone how to get on the train (which is confusing. Most of the time, when I'm at work, I have to tell people when to get off and on). She stood there trying to figure out what she was doing before she got on the train and had two people ask her if she needed help. She thought she must have had a "Dumb" look on her face, but she was trying to read the signs. I laughed when she told me that story because that is one thing about Georgia I can't stand is that they put signs eight miles before you need to be where you are and there are never enough signs telling you where to go and where to get off once you get there. Her adventure continued with us going down to Savannah because she wanted a full "Southern Experience" with plantations included. She didn't bargain on the experience including, rain, poor areas of town, Ebonics, crazy religious people and greasy food. The rain slowed our way to Savannah, but after two days of it, we were able to enjoy the sun in Savannah. We got to Savannah and went on a trolley ghost tour, but Jenn and Daniel kept telling ghost stories before the tour that scared each other, so by the time the tour came around they were disappointed because the stories weren't as scary. We also went to Paula Dean's restaurant, The Lady and Sons, and had a pot pie that had a stick of butter in it. Something that shouldn't be greasy was extremely filling, greasy, and awesome. Now, the unaccountable fact was Jenn is on a diet. Daniel and the grease didn't help. I had to spend the weekend listening to the two of them "enable" each other into how good food was. The poor girl came back seven pounds heavier than she was, and who knows how much Daniel gained. The next day we went to Tybee Island to see the beach and have a look around. We had to pass through town to get there and it was a poorer area that quickly turned into a very rich area. Jenn couldn't believe it how one side of the street was broken down and then another was so nice. We even found a poster for the "New Black Panther Party." Daniel and I would just laugh when her eyes would get really big. She even thought she was going to be in the middle of a fight when she heard some people talking in loud voices. My favorite part was when our car got accosted by people giving bottled water, and a card telling us to go to their church. Overall we had a good time. Mostly laughing at each other. We played a lot of good jokes on Daniel; he's so gullible.

Sleeping with the Enemy
I like men with beards; it's fun. I have always loved Daniel's beard, I have never known him without it, with the exception of pictures. The night before our wedding, his dad set him aside and told him it'd be a good idea if he shaved it off. He told him: "Annie likes my beard. We already discussed this and she wants me to keep it for the pictures."
But this weekend, Daniel decided he wanted to shave it off. He was cleaning the engine in one of our cars and felt like the beard got really dirty and wanted to get rid of it (for now). When he walked out of the bathroom with a clean-shaved face, I freaked out. I didn't know who he was anymore. I didn't even want to look at him, because I was so scared. I was hiding behind my book for, like seriously, 10 minutes. I told him: I can't sleep with you anymore, I don't know who you are. I've never reacted like that before when other people shave their beards, but this time I totally freaked out. Daniel told me he hadn't shaved his beard in three years; he's growing it back, though.

Here's to Toonces
In January, Daniel and I went up to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to "get" some snow and visit Daniel's parents. We had to figure out what to do with Dos. We knew we couldn't take him with us because he would try and kill my mother-in-law's cats (those cats already are trying to kill each other to see who is king of the hill). Mary said she didn't mind helping out and taking him. That was a relief except Dos has developed an only-child syndrome. He definitely doesn't like dogs, or any other animal. But like the mother I will probably be (I learned from the best), I basically told him "buck it up, you're going". The only thing I worried about was he would freak and scratch Frankie to death. Well, after a rather lovely snowy weekend we came back. Not only was Dos a better cat/child/dog, he actually seemed glad to see us, and once we got him home he never wanted to leave. Mary informed me that she and Juston renamed our cat "Toonces" from Saturday Night Live. So here is to our cat's new nickname.
Funny thing is he really does use his paw at the table like that!

The water is really sweet!
Around Christmas time, Daniel and I decided to go and visit Sweet Water Creek because we were bored and cooped up in the house. I must admit it was beautiful even if the leafs have fallen off. We drove a bit around the reservoir or what was left of it. It was easy to see how bad the drought was getting. I can't wait to go back in the spring and fall (its probably too hot in the summer) and see how the trails look different. It was really fun to find this old mill house that was torched during the civil war. The a lot of the remains were surprisingly intact.
